Your WHY should keep you grounded

Life happens. We always gravitate to our strongest emotions in life. Imagine you're watching the ball game and someone next door starts using a sledgehammer. That's where you'll focus in on. It's the strongest emotion. How powerful a WHY we have in business is, will determine how distracted we can get or how much we allow our business objectives to be pushed back and or rescheduled. THIS is why it's so important to have a very powerful and COMPELLING WHY. If we're not clear on our WHY, we'll be easily side-tracked. A very strong WHY keeps us going in the toughest of times because with our WHY, comes our goals and as long as we keep our goals in clear focus at the forefront of our minds, NOTHING ON EARTH can prevent us from succeeding. It's more than determination and persistence(which by the way are also essential to your success). Your WHY can actually control you to an extent and help you stretch far enough so as to grow sufficiently to welcome the achievements into your lives.
It's very important to have a why. According to a network marketing success ebook written my mentor and coach, Michael Dlouhy, here are some statements/questions that can help us nail our WHY.
• What gets you REALLY excited?
• How many hours a week do you work?
• What do you LOVE about your job?
• What do you HATE about your job?
• What do you do with your free time?
• If you had 2 months vacation and all the money you wanted, what
would you do?
• How do you like the people you work with?
• What problem scares you to death that more money could solve?
• What do you just absolutely HATE about your life that more money
could solve?
• If you had all the money you needed, what HUGE problem would
go away?
• If you had all the TIME in the world to do anything you wanted,
what would you do?
• Other than money, what are you looking for?

The Power of your WHY

It's always intriguing to be in business...ALmost everyone you know has entertained thoughts of doing their own business. Many of them actually start it and almost as many fail miserably at it. Why is that?
We sometimes tend to start businesses based on the fact that it seemed "cool" at the time so we just jumped in without too much thought. What we really need to focus on when we do business is out WHY? WHY meaning the reason for being in business. Most people will say, I want to be independent or I've always wanted my own business or I wanna make a lot of money. In many cases, these are logical answers BUT they're NOT great reasons to be in business. A real reason would be something like wanting to be able to have more time to do the things you really enjoy doing. Sit for a moment and think of what you would be doing if you didn't have to work or worry about money. Most of us work because WE HAVE TO not because WE WANT TO. There is a huge difference. So sit down and ask urself some questions. Write down reason after reason after reason and usually your reason jumps out at you when you get past 15 or 20 reasons.
I encourage all who ever join me in business to do this because it will keep them grounded and steadfast in their pursuit of success. They will not quit or run and hide if it's a rainy day.
When you've got your reason covered, THEN you'll be ready to do business.
